Our client, a leading company in the gaming and entertainment industry, is seeking a Deputy Sales Director Sales Training & Development to drive the education, training, and development of their sales teams. This role is critical in enhancing sales performance through comprehensive training programs, coaching initiatives, and strategic skill development. The ideal candidate will work closely with sales leadership to align training initiatives with business goals, ensuring continuous improvement in sales effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Training & Development:
- Develop and implement training programs for new and existing sales agents to enhance sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer engagement.
- Design and manage educational materials, including training manuals, e-learning modules, and interactive workshops.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions and establish a certification program to track and validate sales competencies.
Sales Performance & Skill Enhancement:
- Identify skill gaps and deliver targeted training to improve negotiation, objection handling, and closing techniques.
- Organize role-playing exercises, case studies, and real-world sales simulations to reinforce best practices.
- Implement mentorship programs pairing experienced sales professionals with new hires.
Process Optimization & Sales Strategy Support:
- Ensure that sales teams adhere to best practices and company sales methodologies.
- Collaborate with CRM teams (e.g., Salesforce) to integrate sales training with digital tools and reporting systems.
- Develop structured onboarding programs to accelerate the learning curve for new sales hires.
Sales Enablement & Resources:
- Provide sales teams with up-to-date pitch materials, scripts, product knowledge documents, and competitive insights.
- Work with marketing to create educational content that supports sales efforts.
- Establish a Learning Management System (LMS) to monitor training participation and effectiveness.
Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement:
- Assess training effectiveness through KPIs, feedback surveys, and sales performance analysis.
- Stay updated on the latest sales techniques, industry trends, and learning technologies.
- Organize quarterly refresher courses to ensure continuous skill development.
Candidate Profile:
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in sales training, sales operations, or sales leadership, preferably in a B2B or B2C environment.
- Strong background in sales education, coaching, and team development.
- Proven experience in designing and executing training curriculums, workshops, and e-learning programs.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) for tracking sales performance and training impact.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
- Certifications in sales training methodologies (e.g., SPIN Selling, Challenger Sales, Sandler Training) are a plus.
- An MBA or advanced degree in Sales Leadership, Organizational Development, or Training is preferred.
