Logistics Excellence & Development Manager

We are looking for a Logistics Excellence & Development Manager to join a fast-growing convenience retail business in Romania and play a key role in improving the efficiency, scalability and performance of its logistics operations.

Our client is part of a large international retail group, operating an expanding network of convenience stores in Romania. As the business continues to grow, logistics plays a critical role in ensuring high service levels while maintaining operational efficiency and cost discipline.

This role is ideal for a data-driven and improvement-oriented logistics professional who enjoys identifying opportunities, leading projects and turning ideas into measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Excellence & Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes, operational efficiency and service levels across the organization.

• Work closely with logistics and cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and support the implementation of new solutions.

• Build and maintain a pipeline of efficiency and cost optimization initiatives, prioritizing projects based on business impact.

• Analyze existing processes and performance data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.

• Lead continuous improvement projects from initial analysis and solution design through implementation and follow-up.

• Establish and monitor relevant KPIs to measure the impact of improvement initiatives.

• Support the standardization and implementation of best practices across logistics operations.

Data & Performance Management

• Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify trends, inefficiencies and areas for improvement.

• Develop reports and business cases supporting cost reduction, cost avoidance and operational efficiency initiatives.

• Track the financial and operational impact of implemented projects and ensure expected benefits are delivered.

• Use data to support decision-making and recommend practical, business-oriented solutions.

Project & Stakeholder Management

• Lead logistics improvement projects, ensuring clear objectives, timelines, responsibilities and deliverables.

• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving Logistics, Operations, IT, Finance, Procurement and other relevant departments.

• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners involved in improvement projects.

• Influence stakeholders and drive adoption of new processes and solutions without relying solely on formal authority.

• Support logistics teams during implementation and ensure new processes are properly embedded into daily operations.

Development & Knowledge Sharing

• Provide guidance, training and support to logistics teams to ensure the consistent application of improved processes and standards.

• Promote a continuous improvement mindset across the logistics organization.

• Stay informed about logistics trends, technologies and best practices and identify opportunities to apply relevant solutions to the business.

• Contribute to the development of scalable logistics processes capable of supporting the company's continued growth.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.

• Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, operational excellence, continuous improvement or process optimization.

• Experience leading improvement and/or cross-functional projects.

• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with operational and financial data.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience with reporting and data visualization tools is a plus.

• Experience working with ERP, WMS or other business management systems.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a structured, analytical approach.

• Excellent project management and organizational skills.

• Strong stakeholder management and influencing abilities.

• Ability to translate data and analysis into practical business solutions.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing and growth-oriented environment.

• Excellent communication skills.
