Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Laundry Master in delighting and serving our guests by providing consistently excellent laundry service while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Always provides valet processing and service to the required company standard.
  • Promptly processes linens as directed to ensure the product is finished properly and consistently and is ready for collection by operating departments on time.
  • Willingly and properly performs embarkation duties as required. Willingly and properly collects, stows, loads, and distributes guest baggage as directed.
  • Always maintains working area to the required standard of housekeeping, sanitation, and maintenance.
  • Always provides a positive first impression of designated Laundry areas.
  • Always remains engaged through completion of service.
  • Always responds promptly to resolve concerns, escalating to the Laundry Master as appropriate.
  • Avoids waste by always using consumable items as directed. Promptly communicates maintenance needs to the Laundry Master.
  • Performs all General Emergency Organization duties as directed in the Emergency Response Organization.
  • Always performs all duties in accordance with applicable Hotel policies and procedures, Fleet Regulations, and other internal, external, and governmental regulations as directed.
  • Always operates Laundry machinery in accordance with manufacturer specifications and as directed by the Laundry Master.
  • Always follows timekeeping rules and creates accurate MLC Hours of Rest records.
  • Always complies with Public Health requirements for the Laundry area.
  • Demonstrates commitment to the Companys values, beliefs, goals, and initiatives.
  • Acts as a Company representative and always portrays a positive image of Princess Cruises to all guests, officers, and crew.
  • Always maintains professional, effective, and motivated working relationships across all functions, taking into account differences in cultures, backgrounds, and personalities.

Qualifications:

  • Must attend USPH and Sanitation courses and understand environmental rules.
  • Must have complete command of the English Language.
  • Requires a comprehensive knowledge of all equipment and chemicals used within the Laundry department.
  • Proven history of strong organizational and follow-thru skills.
