Senior Photographer

Job Responsibilities:

• Consistently achieves budgeted sales, image count, and sell-through targets each voyage.
• Always opens and closes using effective sales techniques.
• Provides timely and accurate feedback to management for use in the end-of-cruise report each voyage; can complete end-of-cruise report with management's assistance. Consistently achieves budgeted sales, image count and sell- targets each voyage.
• Always focuses completely on customer satisfaction and always provides a positive first impression to every passenger through a warm, welcoming greeting and professional appearance.
• Reliably recognizes past passengers and thanks them for being with us again.
• Interacts with every passenger, observing and identifying passengers' preferences and adjusting service accordingly, anticipating passengers 'needs, and engaging in conversation while showing genuine interest at all times.
• Always responds immediately to any service issues, escalating to a supervisor as appropriate.
• Nurtures a memorable connection with every passenger by remaining engaged through completion of service.
• Always executes all operations, standardized marketing strategies, events, visual directives, and price changes with correct supporting signage and advertising as directed by management.
• Thoroughly understands the Princess product and Photo operations, products, and services.
• Ensures merchandise is restocked daily and neatly presented.
• Consistently demonstrates accurate knowledge of Gallery opening and closing processes.
• Consistently produces correctly exposed, focused, and printed images, meeting company standards at all times.
• Promptly communicates issues regarding product quality and stock levels to management.
• Receptively listens to and conscientiously acts upon feedback from management.
• Participates productively in training and staff meetings with management.
• Responsibly demonstrates leadership to the Photo team.
• Willingly, patiently, and clearly trains lower-level Photo staff.
• Ensures targets and quality are achieved at every photographic event.
• Always performs all Photo inventories, receiving, transfers, deletions, price changes, stock rotations, and bar-coding prints as directed by management and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Dependably organizes and maintains secure, safe, and clean stockrooms, lockers and storage areas.
• Takes accountability for correctly protecting issued equipment and Company assets as directed in the policies and procedures.
• Constantly ensures that equipment is always used and maintained properly and that any malfunctions or breakdowns are timely resolved.
• Timely resolves any technical issues that affect photo operations; promptly contacts the Assistant Photo Manager for additional troubleshooting support.
• Always performs all duties in accordance with applicable policies and procedures, Fleet Regulations, and other internal, external regulations as directed.
• Demonstrates commitment to the Companys values and safety philosophy.
• Acts as a Company representative and always portrays a positive image of Princess Cruises to all passengers, officers, and crew.
• Always maintains professional, effective, and motivated working relationships across all functions, considering differences in cultures, backgrounds, and individual personalities.
• Qualifications:
• College diploma or equivalent work experience, 3-5 years in a cruise ship Staff photographer position.
• Extensive skills and knowledge of digital photography workflow/commercial printing software.
• Experience and knowledge in aspects of photo hotel/cruise ship operations within the US/Worldwide, including knowledge in Digital Photography equipment, processing/printing equipment, PCs & Photoshop.
