About the job Hotel Assistant Housekeeping
Areas of work: All Public Areas, Crew areas, Open Decks, Accommodation, Spa. Baggage and storing duties as required.
Standard Role Summary:
Clean crew and public areas effectively and efficiently as directed using the correct chemicals and processes.
Primary Responsibility of the Role:
Undertake the cleaning and sanitisation of allocated areas, including vacuuming and dusting. Clean up any spillages and
carry out carpet shampooing and deep cleaning as required. Clean and sanitise assistance dog facilities. Complete general
maintenance requirements as directed and report maintenance defects to supervisor. Maintain and use equipment effectively and safely at all times, store equipment away correctly and collect and return cleaning rags. Identify and report on any fixtures or fittings that need repair or renewal. Prepare flood prevention equipment and take to relevant when required.
Collect and return all Guest laundry and dry cleaning. Deliver any newspapers, daily programmes and Guestmail as required.
Maintain, clean and tidy lockers and complete stock takes as required. Set up and break down pool furniture and prepare
and clear rooms and cloakrooms for meetings and functions, including the setting up / breaking down of chairs and tables.
Assist with the issuing of hotel supplies as directed. Collect and distribute Guest luggage and assist Guests in wheelchairs
on the gangway when embarking and disembarking the ship. Assist other departments onboard the ship as and when
required.

Deliver customer service within the acceptable time-scales and quality required, ensuring
Guest satisfaction
Immediately respond to complaints and customer service issues, or report them to line manager, to ensure speedy resolution
Behave in a polite and friendly manner with Guests and crew members at all times and in all areas of the ship
Revenue Generation Use specialist knowledge to help inform Guests on products and positively influence revenue generation
Cleaning
Use correct chemicals on different surfaces in appropriate concentrations
Use the correct equipment for different cleaning tasks
Follow a plan for cleaning which is efficient and minimises rework/duplication
Clean and sanitise allocated areas to CUK standard
Carry out cleaning duties for isolated rooms and provide a room service for unwell Guests ensuring all public health policies and procedures are followed correctly
Maintain and look after equipment, following the standard operating procedures
