Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages the overall horticultural product onboard.
  • Ensures that the production and distribution of floral arrangements for guest staterooms, other agreed public areas, special occasions, and other promotions are always in line with Company guidelines provided.
  • Maintains public area and suite plants at all times.
  • Willingly participates in public exhibitions of floral skills for guests as required.
  • Always ensures the highest standards of cleanliness in all designated areas of responsibility in line with Company policy.
  • Oversees and willingly participates in the direct selling of floral arrangements to guests.
  • Ensures that accurate and correct inventories are always completed at the end of every voyage.
  • Always reconciles onboard sales at the end of each cruise.
  • Always provides an immediate positive first impression to our guests through a warm and welcoming greeting.
  • Continually interacts with guests during service showing genuine interest, acknowledging special occasions, and identifying service preferences.
  • Always remains engaged through completion of service to maintain guest satisfaction.
  • Manages the efficient organization and storage of all flowers, plants, and related materials within the Florists pantry and associated stores at all times.
  • Always orders horticultural products in a timely manner, taking into consideration upcoming promotions, seasonal requirements, and special occasions.
  • Always maintains the most efficient inventory of floral revenue items.
  • Consistently monitors the quality of flowers, plants, and materials received, and promptly escalates concerns as appropriate before deficiencies impact product delivery.
  • Performs all General Emergency Organization duties as directed.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable Hotel and Public Health Policies & Procedures, Fleet Regulations, and other internal, external, and government regulations at all times.
  • Complies with all Environmental Policies (HESS-MS).
  • Demonstrates commitment to the Company's values, beliefs, goals, and initiatives. Consistently upholds our Core Values and the CRUISE philosophy.
  • Acts as a Company representative and always portrays a positive image of Princess Cruises to all guests, officers, and crew.
  • Always maintains professional, effective, and motivated working relationships, taking into account differences in cultures, backgrounds, and individual personalities.

Qualifications:

  • Must have 2 years of school with a degree in Horticulture.
  • Must have 1 year of school in Flower Arrangement.
  • Has at least 2 years practical experience in a hotel flower shop or in a large office buildings plant care service.
