HCM Data Migration Specialist (Contract, 7 months)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an HCM Data Migration Specialist to plan, run and validate data migration on a Dayforce HCM and Payroll implementation for a large Australian organisation. This is a 7 month contract role, working hybrid from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.

You will own the migration from legacy systems into Dayforce, work closely with payroll and technical teams to validate results, and help client stakeholders get confident using the new platform.

This role is open to Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Data Migration

• Design and execute the end-to-end data migration strategy across HR and payroll modules
• Work with stakeholders, technical teams and SMEs to make sure migrated data is accurate and secure
• Run migration cycles, reconciliation and data validation

Payroll Validation & Testing

• Support system configuration validation and payroll calculations
• Run payroll process testing and identify areas for improvement
• Investigate and explain variances between legacy and target payroll results

Stakeholder Support & Training

• Train client stakeholders on using HCM Payroll effectively
• Work with business, payroll and technical teams to resolve data issues

Documentation

• Document configuration decisions, processes and any customisations made during implementation

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Have

• 5+ years of HCM or payroll data migration experience
• Hands-on experience migrating data into Dayforce
• Experience running payroll parallel testing and explaining variances
• Strong stakeholder skills, including working directly with payroll and HR teams
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne and able to work hybrid

Technical Depth

• Dayforce HCM and Payroll data structures
• Data extraction, transformation and load tooling
• Data reconciliation and validation techniques
• Australian payroll rules, awards and compliance
• Excel and SQL for data analysis

Preferred Certifications

• Dayforce certification (HCM or Payroll)

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience migrating from legacy Australian payroll platforms
• Background in government or regulated environments
• Experience on more than one full HCM implementation through go-live
