Position: Senior Systems Analyst

Location: Hybrid - 3 times/month onsite; Any of the offices in:

  • TX Westlake
  • NC Durham
  • MA Boston
  • NH Merrimack

As Systems Analyst, you will work with Fidelity Institutional (FI) business and technology partners to support systems analysis function within a fast-paced Agile team. Youll be contributing to tackle complex business problems for our clients and drive organizational goals to fruition.

The Role

  • Analytical Problem-solving (breaking things down)
  • Logical problem-solving (creating a big picture)
  • Solution and system design (including artifact creation to facilitate solution design or business/systems process modeling)
  • Provide systems analysis support on an Agile team that includes multiple business and technology partners. Collaborate with other Agile teams (Scrum of Scrums, Meta-Scrum) to manage dependencies and scope.
  • Work with business and technology partners to define the scope of problems/issues, in terms of business and/or system requirements and processes.
  • Work with Agile team to develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and story maps. Apply documentation standards and best practices.
  • Participate in backlog refinement sessions. Translate sophisticated business needs into clear, actionable, requirements/user stories. Research and evaluate alternative solutions. Collaborate with Agile team members to create comprehensive and cohesive solution approaches.
  • Evaluate design of existing systems to judge their functionality, effectiveness, reliability, performance, usage, and maintainability.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelors degree required. Technology-related subject required.
  • 5-7 years systems analysis experience.
  • Brokerage or Financial Services experience preferred
  • Experience with systems development methodologies and formal documentation processes.
  • Agile/Scrum experience required
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills including negotiation and influence.
  • Technical problem solver, who can work in a demanding, complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Solid grasp of the financial services industry, attained through training and application experience.
  • Can effectively multi-task, manage issues, and drive to resolution in a timely manner.
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt and thrive to meet the needs of a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Proactive, thorough, standout colleague who understands how systems applications can provide solutions to business problems and objectives.
  • Experience with business/systems process modeling
  • Experience with solution/systems design
  • Demonstrable experience working with APIs using SOAP, REST Protocols, JSON Schema, and REST Client tools such as Postman, Insomnia
  • Solid understanding of SQL queries construction
  • Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, MS Office Suite of Products is a must.
