Planet is seeking an Accounts Receivable Analyst for the European region. This role is primarily responsible for timely and accurate processing of Planet’s collections and cash application activities. You will work with customers to identify and resolve billing issues, reconcile customer and bank accounts and drive monthly collections. A successful individual will be self-motivated—someone who can recognize how processes can improve and effectively implement positive changes. The candidate must also be able to build strong cross-functional relationships and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Duties and responsibilities

Responsible for monitoring and managing the customer accounts, including collections management, cash application activities, invoicing, disputes management which includes but are not limited to customer account reconciliation, investigating and resolving customer inquiries and irregularities, communication and reporting on delinquent/at risk accounts.

Timely delivery of quality PBC request for SOX controls, internal audit testing, and other internal reporting

New customer review and validation thereof

Monitor and maintain the DSO

Communicate directly with customers and internal contacts to resolve past due balances

Monitor status of invoices via customer portals

Keep accurate and detailed customer collection notes in system of record

Maintain the AR general mailbox and actively follow up on all queries

Assist with ad hoc reporting and projects as needed.
Minimum competencies
-
A minimum of 3 years in a role with a similar scope

Experience with European customers and VAT compliance thereof
-
Experience with Netsuite and Salesforce
-
Strong Unquestionable ethics and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive data

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other quantitative major
-
Experience working effectively across internal and external organizations.

Strong verbal and written communications skills

Highly proficient in Excel
