The Digital Arts Studio plays a pivotal role within an integrated team designing and building content for print and digital channels across BMF’s client portfolio. 

By way of retail and campaign-based work via our Brand Experience / Delivery Experience model, BMF aims to offer a streamlined production workflow and a best-in-class output, but remain responsive to the needs of clients across retail and other industries.

  • Manage personal workload efficiently for on time delivery of assets 

  • Escalate when timelines or budgets are at risk 

  • Reduce avoidable revision rounds through strong brief understanding 

  • Default to AI tools where appropriate to provide cost efficiencies.

OPERATIONAL

Key Performance Indicators 

  • Ability to collaborate across Delivery team, particularly with Retail Creatives, offering suggestions and being proactive on creative goals that can be achieved via Digital Art 

  • Prioritize and manage workloads, escalating issues where deadlines compete or are at risk  

  • Understand and adhere to Delivery Experience processes and timelines 

  • Manage image requirements as needed, including: 

  • Colour correcting to provided client samples 

  • Executing creative briefs and mark ups 

  • Using best practice methods for asset organization and retrieval 

  • Adhere to project timelines 

  • Naming files to a strict naming convention 

  • Strong attention to detail 

STRATEGY Tasks/Accountabilities

  • Recognise improvements in process and suggest better ways forward 

  • Initiate and participate in testing of new AI tools 

  • Suggest workflow improvements where identified 

  • Stay current with digital art and generative AI developments 

 

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS 

Technical Skills, Qualifications and Experience: 

E.g. Qualifications, computer skills required, legal knowledge, database experience, project management, training and development skills, commercial awareness, experience in dealing with budgets and cost management etc. 

  • Experience in Adobe Photoshop, Bridge, Capture One and InDesign 

  • Strong retouching capability including colour correction, compositing and image enhancement 

  • Understanding of high volume retail production workflows eg, ecommerce, retail or campaign work.  

  • Experience with Generative AI tools and platforms such as Adobe Firefly, Nanobanana, Runway, Krea, Seedream, Veo 3 and Kling etc 

  • Ability to apply AI tools appropriately within approved production environments 

  • Confident use of a Wacom tablet or other pen tablet device.  

  • Confident with Mac OS operating systems  

  • Experience with Figma and associated AI plugins highly regarded 

  • Strong colour management knowledge desirable and willingness to further develop in this area 

  • Understanding of file management systems, version control and naming conventions 

  • Awareness of print production processes and retail compliance requirements 

  • Excellent time management skills with ability to manage high volume workloads 

  • Excellent verbal communication skills 

  • Clear understanding of end to end production processes from shoot through to final artwork 

  • Demonstrated interest in emerging technology and developments in generative AI 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in design or related discipline desirable
