Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance
• Create, and implement database systems based on the end user's requirements
• Analyze existing SQL queries or SPs for performance improvements
• Prepare documentation for database applications
• Develop database schemas, tables, and dictionaries
• Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues related to database performance and provide problem resolution and corrective actions
• Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures, and triggers to support application development
• Test databases and perform bug fixes
• Provide authentication and authorizations for Database Develop best practices for database design SQL Server performance monitoring and tuning, including analyzing SQL execution plans, SQL server profiling, and index tuning
• Develop and implement backup and restore best practices, create disaster recovery plans and archiving strategies
• Review new and advanced features and functionality in the SQL Server releases and provide recommendations for upgrades and implementation
• Develop a plan for doing monitoring and managing the health of SQL Server resources i.e., memory, disk storage, CPU, etc.
• Expertise in bulk data migration, synchronization between multiple SQL servers either on-premise or cloud
• Experience in database partitioning and other advanced data management practices in SQL Server Demonstrate proficiency in advanced T-SQL coding
• Provide mentoring and coaching to junior/mid-level developers.
