The Architect is responsible for developing architectural designs and technical documentation for building and commercial projects, from conceptual design through detailed design and construction support.

The position will collaborate with clients, engineers, designers, and project teams to develop functional, safe, constructible, and aesthetically appropriate building solutions while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, project requirements, and design standards.

  • Develop architectural concepts, layouts, and detailed designs for commercial buildings, offices, facilities, and other building projects.
  • Prepare architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and construction documentation.
  • Develop space planning and building layouts based on client and operational requirements.
  • Prepare and coordinate architectural design packages throughout conceptual, schematic, design development, and detailed design phases.
  • Develop building envelope, façade, roofing, partition, ceiling, door, finish, and other architectural details.
  • Coordinate architectural designs with structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Review multidisciplinary drawings to identify clashes, inconsistencies, and constructability concerns.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, fire and life-safety requirements, and local regulations.
  • Develop or support material, finish, fixture, and architectural system specifications.
  • Prepare architectural technical specifications and other project documentation as required.
  • Participate in client meetings and design reviews and incorporate feedback into project deliverables.
  • Review shop drawings, material submittals, and contractor documentation when required.
  • Provide technical support and respond to architectural questions during construction.
  • Conduct site visits, surveys, or field verification when required.
  • Support renovation, fit-out, expansion, and modification projects for existing buildings.
  • Coordinate design changes and revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain quality and accuracy of architectural drawings and documentation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Relevant experience in architectural design, preferably involving commercial, office, institutional, industrial, or similar building projects.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Building planning and space utilization
    • Architectural detailing
    • Building materials and finishes
    • Building envelope systems
    • Construction documentation
    • Building codes and accessibility requirements
  • Proficiency with relevant CAD and BIM software, such as AutoCAD and Revit, or equivalent platforms.
  • Ability to read and coordinate architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Strong visualization, technical drawing, and design skills.
  • Good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Experience with commercial office and building projects.
  • Experience with renovation, tenant improvement, and fit-out projects.
  • Experience using BIM and 3D architectural modeling tools.
  • Knowledge of architectural specifications and construction materials.
  • Experience coordinating architectural designs with engineering disciplines.
  • Experience with construction administration and site coordination.
  • Registered/Licensed Architect is preferred, particularly when required for signing or approving architectural documents.
