The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, supplies, and services in alignment with organizational needs, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency. This role involves strategic sourcing of operational requisitions, managing vendor relationships, and conducting negotiations to secure favorable terms. The Procurement Specialist ensures that all purchased goods and services meet high-quality standards and are delivered within the agreed timelines, contributing to smooth operations and operational success. The role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management, vendor management, and effective negotiation skills to maximize value and mitigate risks.
The main responsibilities of a WORKPLACE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST include:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the full requisition process, including canvassing and system order processing for Operations & Builds Project.
- Identify, source, and invite qualified vendors and service providers for potential collaboration.
- Evaluate, accredit, and oversee vendor performance and relationships.
- Conduct thorough canvassing and review of item specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with requirements.
- Negotiate and establish favorable terms with vendors to secure cost-effective and high-quality products/services.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to monitor and ensure timely delivery, manage back orders, and resolve any issues.
- Provide regular updates to the requesting departments regarding order status, delivery timelines, and any delays.
- Analyze procurement data, generate insights, and present recommendations to management for improved decision-making.
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including Purchase Order creation, approval, award, delivery, and payment endorsement.
