The Screening & Investigations Analyst will be a subject matter expert for Zoom’s Insider Risk Mitigation Program providing reviews and analysis to support personnel decision making.   You will be focused on providing Mandarin/English support to reactive investigations and proactive outreach and engagements in the APAC region.  The role requires a strong background in conducting reviews of employees on paper (via resumes) and, on an as-needed basis, in person (via interviews). The role also requires the ability to navigate across diverse cultural and political environments.

A security background in insider investigations, global threats (e.g., criminal organizations, competitive intelligence specialists, nation states), law enforcement, or counterintelligence is highly desired.  Experience in talent acquisition or recruiting is highly competitive. 

The Screening & Investigations Analyst must also have exemplary interpersonal skills.  You must be able to proactively build relationships across Zoom and establish trust and rapport with executives, the broader employee base, and subjects of investigations.  Ultimately, the position requires personifying Zoom’s value of care while supporting sensitive matters.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • As a member of a small and global team of investigators and analysts, serve as a representative and subject-matter-expert for people-centric challenges within the Insider Risk Mitigation Program supporting the entire employee lifecycle including onboarding & background screening reviews, training & outreach, and off-boarding.
  • Build meaningful relationships and mutually beneficial collaborations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the areas of insider risk, risk management, and investigations.
  • Regularly meet with internal teams (e.g., Security, Legal, Compliance, HR, Talent Acquisition) to understand strategies, roadmap, and initiatives, and advise on the risk management program.
  • Provide program updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Maintain an understanding of technical controls and monitoring frameworks tailored to internal risk management.
  • Portray a service mentality to respond timely to inquiries from colleagues with sound, succinct, and actionable support.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in Mandarin and English both written and oral.
  • 1+ years of direct experience in recruiting or talent acquisition, translation services, internal investigations, or insider risk.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate effectively across cross-functional teams, diverse nationalities, and backgrounds and build collaboration, partnerships, and consensus among stakeholders. Experience working internationally.
  • Experience in public speaking, interviewing, or serving in a forward-facing public service role.
  • Passion to work in a highly collaborative team environment with an attitude to deliver happiness.
  • Ability to remain respectful and diplomatic in the face of difficult and uncomfortable situations surrounding sensitive issues.

Preferred Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience with a combination of private, government, and law enforcement.
