This role will be responsible for administering, monitoring, analysis, reconciliation, and reporting of Sales Commissions. The ideal candidate is a detailed-oriented, self-motivated team player, who enjoys working in a challenging and fast-paced environment. Additionally, this role will be responsible for supporting the month-end close process, Sox compliance control execution, as well as identifying and assisting in project-based work to provide process efficiencies for the team.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Perform variable commission and bonus calculations globally in accordance with approved commission plans and internal policies; ensuring commission calculations are done accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain compensation system (Xactly) by performing a variety of data inputs and ensuring the accuracy of processes by analyzing data outputs • Perform validation and data quality checks on both system data and compensation calculation results
- Act as Point of Contact for all commissions related questions and provide thorough and timely answers to the sales and sales management teams
- Distribute and track completeness of compensation plan sign-off from sales personnel to ensure compliance with company policies
- Interact with sales team to explain and assist in the understanding of variable commission plans and calculations
- Effective communicator who can take complex logic and scenarios and describe them simply and clearly to various internal parties
- Support the Accounting team in timely and accurate preparation of monthly accruals and reconciliations for commissions accounting
- Maintain and enhance the internal controls over processes and systems as needed
- Understand SOX requirements and assist in the creation/maintenance of documentation
- Coordination with payroll team to ensure commission/bonus payments are paid out timely and accurately
- Support recurring and ad hoc project requests, as needed
Requirements
- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other quantitative fields preferred
- 3-5 years of forward-thinking finance/accounting/commissions experience with validated understanding of sales and commissions process.
- Minimum of 2 years in a commission administration role, with Xactly compensation tool preferred
Other Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Tools (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc)
- Strong interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills
- Ability to execute, follow-up, and ensure attention to detail
- A team player with positive and “can do” attitude, adept to building relationships across the organization
- Ability to work independently and multi-task in a dynamic setting while maintaining accuracy and delivering against deadlines
- Experience using ADP, Workday or other comparable payroll software is a plus
- Understanding of SaaS business model
