- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash flow management.
- Conduct credit card reconciliations to validate expenses and ensure proper documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
- Prepare and maintain the depreciation schedule, ensuring accurate recording of fixed assets.
- Reconcile general ledger (GL) accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Support the finance team in financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with auditors as required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data.
- Support process improvements and automation initiatives.
Ad-hoc Tasks:
- Trust Account - Allocation of debtor payments on a daily basis.
- Distribution of trust monies at the end of the period or as required.
- Ensure timely recording of transactions received from clients.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

- Understanding of month-end closing tasks and journal entries

- Excellent communication skills
- Proven experience as an assistant accountant role or similar experience in an office environment
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Excel Functions (VLookUp, Pivot tables, and other formulas)
- Xero accounting software
