Job Brief: Video Editor (Communications Coaching and Keynote Speaking Industry)
Our client is seeking a skilled and creative Video Editor to join the team. The role will be responsible for creating compelling short and long form content using a vast repository of raw footage. This role is crucial in producing engaging videos that align with client briefs and existing content, which will be used on social media platforms for creating engagement and growing the follower base or as part of the client’s communications courses and workshop content.
You will have a fantastic opportunity to work with a global influencer who is rapidly growing. You will have the opportunity develop your skills in a rewarding role. The role may also include travel to Australia for team events.
As part of the recruitment process all candidates will be asked to create a short from video from raw footage provided by the client, based on a brief.
Responsibilities:
- Edit and produce social media specific content for Instagram, Youtube and other social media platforms.
- Utilise the repository containing terabytes of raw footage, to source the appropriate content to create visually appealing and impactful videos.
- Implement appropriate editing techniques, including but not limited to trimming, cutting, sequencing, and enhancing visuals and audio.
- Collaborate with the creative team and clients to understand project requirements, ensuring the final product meets their vision and objectives.
- Maintain an organised and efficient workflow, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
- Select suitable music, sound effects, and other audio elements to enhance the overall video production.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new editing techniques, and software advancements to continuously improve editing skills and workflows.
- Perform quality checks to ensure the final videos are error-free, meet technical specifications, and adhere to brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to optimise videos for social media platforms, ensuring effective engagement and adherence to advertising standards.
- Collaborate with the client to create long form content suitable for communications classes and workshops, ensuring the videos are informative and engaging.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Video Editor, preferably in a similar industry or with experience in creating advertising and educational content.
- Proven work experience as a Social Media Video Editor and experience in making videos for Social platforms. You will be required to adapt to the style of the client and be able to create videos which create high impact impressions and ultimately engagement aiding growth of the follower base.
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and strong knowledge of editing techniques and industry-standard practices.
- A portfolio demonstrating a range of high-quality video editing projects, showcasing creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively convey messages through visual storytelling.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and their video requirements for advertising purposes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to understand and interpret client briefs effectively.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- A keen eye for aesthetics, composition, and the ability to enhance video content through editing.
- Understanding of audio editing, including sound mixing, music selection, and voice-over integration.
- Creative mindset, constantly seeking innovative approaches to video editing to maintain engagement and appeal.
- A team player attitude, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the creative, marketing, and education teams.
- A very good internet connection to be able to access the terabytes of raw footage stored in the cloud
A successful candidate should be prepared to submit and complete the following as part of onboarding requirements:
- Scanned copy of valid NBI Clearance
- Accomplished Medical or PEME Slip
- 2x2 & Half body picture with white background
- Proof of government numbers (TIN, SSS, Pag-ibig, & Philhealth).
- Photocopy of 2 valid IDs – front & back (government-issued)
- Clear copy of your Birth Certificate (PSA or NSO)
- Accomplished HR Forms & Promissory Note (will be provided by KMC’s Onboarding Team)
