Professional Summary: Highly skilled and experienced L4 Network Administrator with 8-15 years of expertise in strategic planning, design, implementation, and management of our advanced network systems. This role involves leading complex network projects, ensuring optimal performance, and maintaining the highest levels of network security and reliability.

 

Customer communication / problem solving skills required.  Previous experience in a Managed Service Provider preferred.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for network infrastructure to support business goals and objectives.

Network Design and Architecture: Lead the design and architecture of complex network solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.

Advanced Troubleshooting: Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for critical network issues, providing expert-level support.

Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize network performance, implementing best practices and innovative solutions.

Security Management: Oversee the implementation and enforcement of comprehensive network security measures, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.

Project Leadership: Lead and manage large-scale network projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures.

  

  • Technical Skills: Expertise in advanced networking concepts, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLAN, VPN, MPLS, and SD-WAN.

    Hardware: Extensive experience with high-end routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

    Software: Proficiency in network management using Aruba, Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, and monitoring tools such as Cisco IOS, Juniper Junos, Palo Alto PAN-OS, SolarWinds, Splunk, LogicMonitor, DataDog, NewRelic, BigPanda

    Security: In-depth knowledge of network security practices, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and Zero Trust architectures.

    Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.

    Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

    Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), Juniper Networks Certified Internet Expert (JNCIE), or similar are highly desirable.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
