We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Research Associate, North American Compensation Research, Data Team to join our dynamic research team in Manila. The successful candidate Members of our Executive Compensation Research Team will analyze pay packages and equity granting practices at companies across the U.S. and Canada and collects data for Australia, UK and countries in Europe. We advise shareholders on the quality of compensation for chief executive officers by looking both quantitatively at pay levels and qualitatively at factors like pay program design, safeguards against excessive risk-taking, and quality of disclosure. Our analysis and recommendations are closely followed not only by our institutional investor clients, but also by the companies in their investment portfolios as well as U.S. and international news organizations and leading scholars in the fields of corporate governance and executive compensation. The role is a project based, hybrid position that requires 3x a week regular office attendance. This position is based in our Makati City office.

The main responsibilities of a Research Associate, North American Compensation include:

  • Assess the disclosure in public filings and other public resources to identify and extract relevant data points for broader analysis
  • Under supervision of Lead Analysts, create a preliminary assessment of an executive pay program using collected data points
  • Peer edit the preliminary assessments from other Research Associates, as necessary
  • Communicate and collaborate with Lead Analysts in Manila and across the U.S. to ensure reports are delivered on time
  • Perform other responsibilities, as assigned
