The Purpose Driven Career Objectives of a Application And Software Development at KMC:
The Business Analyst, Project Delivery and Process Improvement is responsible for analyzing the requirements and requests from the business as well as identifying and assessing change needs. The Business Analyst, Project Delivery and Process Improvement captures and documents requirements, analyzes the impact of changes and supports the business throughout the implementation process.

  • Process mapping and identifying nonvalue add steps to create lean processes 
  • Creating test cases, testing and drafting of user stories
  • Business requirements documentation
  • Understanding and documenting current business procedures and identify areas for improvement
  • Identifying opportunities, develops recommendations and propose solutions and present business case to management and key stakeholders
  • Strengthening and enhancing internal processes to make it more efficient and effective 
  • Responsible for ongoing review and analyses of key performance indicators. 
  • Supports obtaining signoff of business requirements 
  • Conducting specific reviews with Sponsors on process improvement projects 
  • Defining appropriate controls on the process to ensure that business objectives are met 
  • Defining business requirements to ensure that technology solution meets improved efficiency needs 
  • Supporting the creation of business cases outlining cost impacts and value drivers of proposed solutions
  • Supporting the preparation of feasibility studies and estimates
  • Researching to create value added proactive business improvement proposals 
  • Conducting interactive workshops for employees to generate process improvement ideas 
  • Conducting business analytics that identifies actionable business insights

Your Success Profile includes:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in an analytical or business discipline (Industrial Engineering, BS Math, Economics, Information Systems or Information Management) from an accredited four year college or university and two to four years related experience and/or training required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous cruise line or travel industry experience preferred. 
  • Fluency in English (written/verbal) additional language(s) are an advantage
  • A selfstarter who needs little to no supervision. 
  • Willingness to work in shifting hours (AM shift, Mid Shift)
  • Position may require 10% travel to visit fleet as business needs require 

 Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of General Business Requirements with an eye towards identifying gaps, nonvalue added steps and other impediments to efficient operation
  • Experience in conceptualization and solution definition
  • Good analytical and problem solving experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of business analysis methods and tools
  • Ability to identify and interpret stakeholders needs and requirements
  • Ability to work in virtual teams and matrixed organizations
  • Ability to commit and prioritize work duties and tasks
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Ability to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members
  • Ability to develop rapport and credibility with diverse groups
