We are looking to hire an experienced QA specialist to ensure our company and customers remain compliant with industry regulations. You will report directly to the QA manager and perform manual and automated tests on company products, and ensure that vendors are following compliance and food safety regulations.

The Quality Assurance (QA) specialist ensures company and customer quality standards are being met. Working under the supervision of the QA manager, the specialist will execute supplier and product approvals, document verifications, and execute all compliance related activities.
The main responsibilities of a QA SPECIALIST include:
- Perform compliance-related documentation processes for:
- Supplier Approval Process
- Materials Approval Process
- Incoming Quality Assurance (IQA) Process
- Support the execution of the Product Sampling Program with 3rd party lab
- Collaborate with colleagues to monitor Stage I and Stage II of IQA Document Set build
- Perform IQA reviews and make recommendations to the QA Manager
- Compile documentation to meet US FDA, USDA, and GFSI requirements
- Provide support for the Temperature Monitoring Program
- Support continuous improvements through monthly process and records audits
- Compile data for non-conforming reporting and ensure corrective actions are completed
- Maintain all compliance records in an electronic compliance platform
- Notify the manager or department head of potential food safety issues
- Provide support in implementing and maintaining CCL/Culimer’s Food Safety Quality Management System (FSQM)
- Manage records for compliance of products and processes with company, customer, and regulatory requirements
- Support the QA Manager in responding to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or suppliers
- Collaborate with foreign and domestic product/service suppliers on compliance matters
- Perform Supplier Approval Process and Materials Approval Process for all new suppliers and products
- Maintain records related to trend analysis and risk assessment for suppliers and service providers
- Work with the QA Manager to suggest and implement updates to FSQM programs, including Incoming Quality Assurance Programs
- Provide support for the New Product Development process to ensure compliant and sale-ready products
- Assist the QA Manager during mock recalls, traceability exercises, and stress tests to maintain BRCGS compliance and audit readiness
- Become proficient in software tools used for FSQM execution, such as 3iVerify, Asana, and Trace Register
- Prepare the Weekly QA Meeting Agenda, record outcomes, and log reports
- Maintain the QA Intranet Site
- Maintain various logs and registers
