About the job XTN-8EB5880 | GLASS LEWIS: RESEARCH DATA ASSOCIATE, US GOVERNANCE

Members of our Proxy Paper research teams analyze company filings and latest news events at U.S. companies, summarize annual meeting proposals, and assist in providing voting recommendations to our clients—some of which include the world's largest institutional investors. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about corporate structure and shareholder rights, to research publicly traded companies, including their boards of directors and executives, and to work at the forefront of the emerging field of corporate governance. This will be a particularly valuable experience for those wishing to pursue careers or graduate study in business, law, public policy, or financial services, among others.

The U.S. Governance Research Data Team analyzes company filings and news reports and collects board and governance data for use in Glass Lewis’ Research Reports and client voting. The data collected includes issues of general corporate governance, shareholder rights, and information on boards of directors.

Research data associates will interpret and analyze public filings and company websites to collect data points and create the first draft of our Proxy Paper Reports. The team is foundational to the Glass Lewis research process and provides clients with timely and accurate information that informs investor stewardship and proxy voting decisions. Members of this team will gain a broad understanding of SEC filings and corporate structures while analyzing data pertaining to director elections, company bylaws and issuances of capital, among others. Individuals will have an opportunity to strengthen their analytical and rapid data interpretation skillsets.

Incoming research data associates will receive comprehensive training on our firm's methods and standards of research. We expect employment to start in mid-January, and all positions are expected to continue through early June 2025, with the possibility of further extension. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Highly motivated candidates are encouraged to submit their applications as early as possible.
