As a Talent Sourcing Specialist, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our team by identifying and engaging top talent. You’ll be responsible for proactively sourcing candidates, creating talent pipelines, and conducting preliminary interviews to ensure a seamless and efficient hiring process. This position focuses on finding the best talent for a variety of roles, including software engineers, account executives, and more, to support the continued growth and success of Payscale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Candidate Sourcing: Proactively identify and engage with passive and active candidates through various channels, including LinkedIn, job boards, employee referrals, and other innovative sourcing techniques.
  • Talent Pipelining: Build and maintain pipelines of qualified candidates for current and future roles, ensuring a steady flow of talent for high-demand positions.
  • Resume Screening: Review resumes and applications to identify top candidates who meet the qualifications and culture fit for the organization.
  • Candidate Outreach: Craft compelling messages to engage passive candidates and nurture relationships with potential hires.
  • Preliminary Interviews: Conduct initial screening calls to assess candidates’ qualifications, experience, and alignment with company values.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with talent acquisition partners, hiring managers, and other stakeholders to understand job requirements and deliver high-quality candidates for each role.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor hiring strategies, and emerging sourcing tools to continuously improve sourcing efforts.
  • ATS Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate interactions and pipeline activity in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Employer Branding: Utilize LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and other job boards to promote Payscale’s employee value proposition to attract talent & increase inbound pipelines.

We'd love to talk with you if you have

  • 3-5 years of talent sourcing or recruiting experience, preferably within a SaaS, tech, or fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to identify and engage with top talent across various departments, including Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, Product, and more.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Familiarity with tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search techniques, and CRM/ATS platforms.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple pipelines and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience supporting employer branding, recruitment marketing, and other creative avenues to attract talent.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and results-driven approach.
  • Passion for finding great talent and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-changing, high-growth environment.
  • Strong team mindset with a desire to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally.

 

  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Experience with Salesforce, Payfactors, and Zoom is a plus.
