The QA Automation role at Axonius is a multifaceted position focused on ensuring the quality and reliability of their platform. This involves collaborating with developers and other stakeholders to define and implement testing strategies, including BDD and TDD. Responsibilities include building and maintaining a robust testing framework, developing automated tests, and managing test data. This role requires a strong advocate for quality who can identify opportunities to improve testing processes, implement relevant metrics, and champion tools and practices that enhance development speed and product reliability. The ideal candidate will be a champion for the customer experience, ensuring software is delivered with consistency and simplicity. 

The main responsibilities of a QA Automation Engineer include:

  • Drive testing and validation of systems configuration and development, improving our testing processes along the way.
  • Define the requirements for BDD and TDD with Developers, Admins and Consultants.
  • Build the testing framework for our platform and write automated tests.
  • Own and develop testing tools and strategies, as well as manage test data.
  • Advocate for customer experience through consistency and simplicity.
  • Work with developers to ensure test cases are reflected in code and automated tests.
  • Identify opportunities to use end-to-end tests to provide greater value and confidence around our Business Systems software.
  • Advocate for practices and tools that speed up the development and testing process and increase the quality standards.
  • Identify relevant quality metrics for the team like error rates and thresholds.
  • Advocate for, implement and monitor tools that provide alerting on those metrics.
  • Investigate defects and produce minimum viable test cases to reproduce them.
  • Support frequent deployments to production.
  • Participate in the planning and analysis of business requirements for system changes and enhancements.
  • Help foster a culture of pride and obsession around delivering quality software.
  • Improve the overall quality and completeness of documentation.
