Duties and responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains system, ensuring its smooth operation and optimal performance.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary enhancements and optimizations.
- Configure and manage user access rights, security settings, and user roles within the system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements for system customization and enhancements.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to system administration, configuration, and processes.
- Oversee the integration of MS Great Plains with other systems and applications, ensuring seamless data exchange and compatibility.
- Design, develop, and implement data integration solutions using appropriate tools and technologies, such as SQL, APIs, and ETL processes.
- Perform data mapping, transformation, and cleansing activities to ensure data integrity and quality.
- Monitor data flows and troubleshoot data-related issues, working closely with stakeholders to identify and resolve integration problems.
- Provide technical support and training to end users, ensuring their understanding of system functionality and data integration processes.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in MS Great Plains and related technologies, and proactively recommend improvements and best practices
Minimum competencies
- Proven experience as an MS Great Plains Administrator, with a strong focus on system administration and data integration.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) system.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing user roles, security settings, and access controls within MS Great Plains.
- Strong understanding of data integration concepts, techniques, and tools (e.g., SQL, APIs, ETL processes).
- Experience in designing, developing, and implementing data integration solutions using SQL and other relevant technologies.
- Familiarity with data mapping, transformation, and cleansing techniques to ensure data integrity and quality.
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve system and data-related issues.
- Knowledge of financial processes and procedures, specifically related to MS Great Plains, will be a plus.
- Relevant certifications in MS Great Plains administration and data integration will be a plus.
Minimum qualifications
Min 4 years (1-4 Yrs Experienced ) as IT/Computer - Software
