The role is responsible for end-to-end US payroll processing using Workday, including auditing timesheets, validating payroll inputs, managing new hire/termination updates, and handling off-cycle transactions. It also involves processing Canada payroll via Activpayroll, managing involuntary deductions, and issuing final pay and severance.
Additional duties include supporting audits (401k, statutory, tax), processing employee equity transactions (NSO, ISO), responding to verification-of-employment requests, attending meetings, and collaborating with HR, Benefits, Accounting, Finance, and external vendors via Slack and email.

  • Audit timesheets and payroll data for completeness and accuracy using Workday Time Tracking
  • Audit records including new hires, terminations, and pay changes using Workday reporting
  • Validate payroll inputs including hours worked, bonuses, commissions, retroactive pay, and off-cycle transactions
  • Processing terminations including final paychecks and severance paymentsProcess involuntary deductions such as wage garnishments
  • Ad-hoc, off-cycle payroll processing
  • Canada payroll processing using Activpayroll
  • Respond to verification of employment request
  • Support audits and provide necessary documentation as needed. Including 401k, statutory and tax support
  • Process daily employee equity transactions and related tax withholding, NSO, ISO
  • Perform other payroll duties, as assigned
  • Attend meetings, as requested
  • Cross-functional communications with HR, Benefits, Accounting, Finance, external vendors via slack and email
  • 2 years experience using Workday Payroll and HCM modules
  • 2 years experience processing full-cycle, multi-state US payroll
  • Experience using ADP SmartCompliance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups), gmail, google docs, slack
  • Highly organized and detailed oriented, process driven
  • Experience using third party payroll vendors, like Activpayroll
  • Experience processing Canada payroll

CPP certification

  • Experience at a high growth B2B SaaS company
  • Public company experience, exposure to SOX controls
