The Merchandise Planning Analyst supports the Planning team by assisting with sales and stock analysis, allocation processes and reporting, helping to build accurate plans and develop commercial understanding.

·       Blackout Period for annual leave in peak periods. This will be discussed at the time of the interview.

·       Office Attire: Smart casual.

·       Monday to Friday. Occasional out of hours when required.

·       Travel required interstate/overseas as required.

Key Responsibilities

Allocations
  • Maintain ranges accurately within allocation and planning tools
  • Copy allocations into the system (approximately 1 day per week)
  • Run allocation checks for new ranges and follow up on:
    • Missing stores
    • Missing SKUs
  • Support and process corporate orders as required
     
Systems, Data & Operations
  • Manage and process stock adjustments to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Manage and update price changes, ensuring accuracy across systems
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes using automation and AI tools where applicable
 
Planning, Range & Reporting Analysis
  • Monthly actualisation of WSSI (Weekly Sales, Stock & Intake) and Line Cards
  • Produce and maintain core planning and performance reports, including:
    • Out of Stock (OOS) reports (with back‑in‑stock dates)
    • Zero sales reporting
    • Front Line & PWP stock reporting
  • Populate range review (events & core) and end‑of‑season review templates
  • Store network analysis 
  • Maintain and update delivery schedule trackers and promotional planners
  • Assist with merchandise projects as instructed

To apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements: 
• 2+ years experience as a Data Entry Specialist in procurement, purchasing or order 
management practice. 
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
• Proficiency in data entry software and tools. 
• Good organizational and time management skills. 
• Basic understanding of procurement and inventory processes. 
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.

  • Highly data savvy, confident working with large and complex datasets
  • Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, modelling)
  • Comfortable with data extraction and analysis
  • Comfortable using AI tools to improve efficiency, insight and automation

  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate data into business actions
  • Understanding of retail or merchandise planning metrics is highly desirable
  • Ability to balance accuracy with pace in a fast‑moving retail environment
