Functional overview
We are seeking a Marketing Coordinator to work with the local SANS team, initially as an Independent Contractor with the possibility of permanent employment as the role and our business each evolve. The APAC Marketing Coordinator will have primary responsibility for contextualizing and executing SANS’ global marketing initiatives and programs within the APAC region. The role works closely with the APAC Sales team and wider SANS global Marketing team to develop marketing strategies and campaigns for the APAC region, promote our mission, build awareness of SANS programs and grow our regional business. Each day will be different with a range of responsibilities that come with working for a global company.
This exciting opportunity will suit a marketing professional with at least 3 years’ experience working within a ‘lead generating’ B2B and/or B2C target audience seeking to gain either a fresh or further experience within the cyber security and international events industry.
As the Marketing Coordinator you are a highly motivated professional with proven experience of delivering direct and online marketing campaigns. Combining analytical skills, a fair understanding of marketing automation and CRM systems, with a commitment to creative marketing. The ideal candidate for this role will be a strong communicator who thrives under pressure, with excellent written copy and bright verbal communication skills, all of which will be expected in this progressive role.
Duties and responsibilities
- Collaborate with the global marketing team to contextualise and roll out SANS’ global marketing initiatives within the APAC region through the use of multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Work closely with third parties/external media partners in different geographies to drive awareness and lead generation.
- Create, test and monitor regional content on www.SANS.org to support marketing promotions, increase awareness of our APAC events and increase the size of our APAC database.
- Develop high-quality content and collateral for distribution to market via social media, traditional media and direct (print) marketing channels.
- Work together with the SANS Social Media Manager to develop and execute targeted social media campaigns for identified audiences within the region.
- Plan, coordinate and support marketing-led events, workshops, webinars and client events within the APAC region, both online and onsite.
- Create targeted and effective demand generation email campaigns to our audience in collaboration with regional Sales teams.
- Work closely together with community partners to build SANS’ thought leadership position in the region.
- Create sales enablement materials in partnership with SANS Sales and Marketing teams, including presentation decks, sales flyers, and other communication materials.
- Work closely together with the SANS B2B Marketing Manager to develop regional lead generation and demand generation initiatives and assist in B2B campaign development.
- In collaboration with the regional Sales and Operations teams, monitor and maintain the local inventory of sales enablement, promotional and marketing collateral.
Minimum competencies
- Advanced English skills (both written & verbal)
- A passion for excellence in contemporary written communication, characterized by a meticulous attention to detail, a talent for persuasive and highly engaging copy, strong command of the written language and genuine pride in the work you produce.
- The discipline and motivation to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines; while also understanding the importance of your role to overall team performance and demonstrating a willingness to collaborate and work cohesively with your teammates and internal stakeholders.
- The demonstrated capacity to work simultaneously and effectively on multiple projects while maintaining the quality and effectiveness of deliverables.
- The courage to try new tactics and techniques to achieve team and role objectives.
Minimum qualifications
- Three years or more of relevant experience in a generalist marketing role, executing cross-functional demand and lead generation programs.
- Familiarity with CRM and Marketing Automation tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot, Marketo (or similar).
- A background and/or interest in Cyber Security, Adult Education and/or Professional Training.
