About the Role 

This unique hybrid position serves as both: 

(1) Senior Manager – Revenue Accounting, leading complex ASC 606 accounting and owning revenue close; and 

(2) PH Site Lead, supporting the broader FinOps organization in the Philippines. 

The leader in this role will help establish Checkr’s initial PH-based Finance presence, providing day-to-day oversight, cultural leadership, operational guidance, and technical revenue accounting expertise. This position is best suited for a seasoned people leader who is passionate about building teams, driving process excellence, and operating in dynamic, high-growth environments.

Key Responsibilities 

Revenue Accounting Leadership (80%) 

  • Own the full revenue accounting close process; ensure timely and accurate ASC 606 application. 

  • Review reconciliations, revenue analyses, and journal entries prepared by the team. 

  • Draft and maintain technical accounting memos, policies, and process documentation. 

  • Evaluate complex or non-standard revenue arrangements, including usage-based models. 

  • Provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams (Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, Billing, FP&A). 

  • Lead system and process improvements—including AIdriven enhancements. 

  • Support internal and external audits. 

Philippines Site Leadership (20%) 

  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for all PH-based FinOps staff. 

  • Help build team culture aligned with Checkr’s values (Grit, Ownership, Humility, Connection). 

  • Coordinate with Billing, GL, and other operations teams housed in the PH site. 

  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, coaching, and capability-building. 

  • Lead engagement initiatives and maintain a high-performance remote-site culture. 

  • Ensure clear communication between PH teams and U.S. leaders. 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar field; CPA or equivalent preferred. 

  • 8+ years progressive accounting experience with strong U.S. GAAP exposure. 

  • Deep ASC 606 expertise, ideally within tech/SaaS or usage-based environments. 

  • 5+ years people management experience, including leadership of offshore or distributed teams. 

  • Strong technical accounting, documentation, and audit experience. 

  • Ability to manage complex processes and establish scalable workflows. 

  • Strong stakeholder management skills across time zones. 

  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets; experience with Oracle, Salesforce, Alteryx preferred.
