Functional Overview: 

The Creatives Intern will play a supporting role in producing engaging visuals and multimedia content that enhance the overall KMC employee experience. Working closely with the Engagement Creatives Officer and the People Engagement Team, this internship provides hands-on exposure to graphic design, video editing, and content creation for employee engagement campaigns, internal communications, and company events. 

  

This role is ideal for students or fresh graduates looking to gain professional creative experience in a dynamic, fast-paced corporate environment while building a strong portfolio of real-world work.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in designing and producing creative assets such as posters, social media graphics, emailers, and event collaterals.  

  • Provide support in editing short videos, reels, or highlight clips for campaigns and events. 

  • Help in developing layout concepts and storyboards for visual storytelling. 

  • Collaborate with the Engagement Creatives Officer to ensure all designs are aligned with KMC’s brand identity and engagement objectives. 

  • Contribute creative ideas during brainstorming sessions for campaigns, events, and internal activities. 

  • Maintain and organize design files, templates, and visual assets for easy access and reference. 

  • Research current design and digital media trends to propose fresh ideas and innovative approaches. 

  • Provide assistance in photo and video coverage during internal events. 

  • Support the creation of presentation decks and visual reports for engagement initiatives. 

  • Perform other related creative and administrative tasks assigned by the Creatives and Communications Specialist. 

 

 

 

Minimum Competencies: 

  • Basic to intermediate graphic design skills using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and/or Canva. 

  • Familiarity with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, or Filmora (a plus but not required). 

  • Good eye for layout, color theory, and typography. 

  • Creative, resourceful, and willing to learn new tools and techniques. 

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 

  • Ability to follow brand guidelines and deliver consistent outputs. 

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills. 

  • Willingness to take feedback and improve designs constructively. 

 
 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Multimedia Arts, Graphic Design, Communication Arts, or related courses. 

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel). 

  • A digital portfolio (academic or freelance work is acceptable) showcasing design or creative outputs is preferred. 

  • Availability to commit to the internship schedule as agreed upon.
