The Personal River Cruise Sales Specialist is responsible for generating revenue by promoting and selling river cruise products and services to prospective guests and travel partners. This role involves handling inbound and outbound sales calls, providing detailed product knowledge, and delivering a personalized sales experience that aligns with the company’s premium standards.

- Handle inbound and outbound calls to promote, sell, and close river cruise reservations.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to closing the booking, following up with the sailing date and maintaining a post-cruise relationship.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to drive repeat business.
- Maintain and grow a personal book of business through consistent outreach and follow up.
- Understand product offerings, itineraries, and promotions to effectively match clients with the right cruise.
- Log all sales activities, call notes, and client interactions in the CRM system.
- Follow up on marketing campaigns, online inquiries, and abandoned bookings.
- Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and key performance indicator (KPI) metrics.
- Achieve individual and team sales targets, including revenue, conversion rates, and productivity goals.
- Collaborate with customer service and operations teams to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Continuously monitors inbound call queue and updates availability, as necessary.
- Ensure accuracy of all reservations worked on, including guest details, pricing, promotions, and special requests.
- Uses verbal and written communication with proficiency to maintain effective and professional relationships with direct guests.
- Navigate company systems efficiently to create, manage, and update reservations for both outbound sales and inbound inquiries.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
- Proven experience in sales or customer service, preferably within the travel industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and build relationships.
- Ability to handle high call volumes and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, and familiarity with reservation database software.
- Detail-oriented with a knack for problem-solving and the ability to manage payments and financial transactions accurately.
- Experience in CRM software and database management.
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and job demands.
- Additional languages are a plus, enhancing communication with a diverse client base.
- Knowledge of the travel industry’s latest trends and technologies to stay ahead in a competitive market.
