Skills

• Ability to draw polish or grind die cavity surfaces using required tools or equipment
• Proficient in building and replacing segments, cores, details, and parts from blueprints
• Skilled in performing welding duties in both the foundry and Die Repair Department
• Capability to train new employees effectively

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions and information from Team Leader and/or Supervisor
• Transport, clean, disassemble, repair, and reassemble casting and trim dies
• Build and replace components as per blueprints
• Troubleshoot production tooling issues and perform necessary repairs
• Maintain documentation such as forms, die work orders, and records
• Keep the work area and equipment orderly and clean
• Perform all other duties as assigned by supervision

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform highly skilled tasks and solve complex problems
• Up to 2 years of training required; on-the-job training available for those without prior experience
• Tool & Die Repair Journeyman Papers are advantageous but not mandatory

Education Requirements

• Associates Degree, trade or technical school certification, or journeyman certificate
