Responsibilities

  • Design life safety and asset protection systems using AutoCAD and proprietary software
  • Direct contractors in the installation and operation of systems
  • Survey job sites for proper system design and installation
  • Read, review, and implement customer-supplied project specifications
  • Attend manufacturer training classes and other continued education training
  • Create project-specific operation and maintenance manuals
  • Update existing drawings
  • Assist office staff with engineering-related tasks
  • Assist in system inspection and maintenance (if needed)
  • Assist in system startups and commissioning (if needed)

  • Experience as a Design Engineer
