We are seeking a Service/Test Technician for a testing systems/equipment manufacturing company located in Acton, MA. This role is responsible for setting up, conducting, and troubleshooting tests on testing equipment with a focus on refrigeration, HVAC, and electrical systems, ensuring equipment quality and performance. This is a DIRECT HIRE position.

Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Competent with computers, including Google Suites (preferred)
- Knowledge of Lean methodologies (preferred)
- Knowledge of test standards (ASTM, IEC, ISO, MIL-STD) (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Start up, troubleshoot, and perform tests on our standard product line, including calibration and operation of refrigeration, HVAC, and electrical systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with systems, making necessary adjustments or repairs
- Perform basic final assembly work
- Ensure products meet quality and performance standards
- Implement and improve procedures
- Gather and document pertinent data on the performance of products and prototypes
- Maintain standards for product testing and inspection as part of the overall quality standard
- Participate in a team environment to develop and design new and existing products
- Implement and participate in Lean and 5S processes and projects
- Work closely with the engineering and quality teams to improve overall product quality.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience with HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and electrical systems
- Previous experience in a test or service technician role, preferably in a manufacturing or commercial environment (preferred)
