The Die Repair Technician for the 2nd Shift in Twinsburg, OH will be responsible for repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining casting and trim dies in accordance with original specifications. Skills
- Ability to draw polish or grind die cavity surfaces using required tools or equipment
- Proficient in building and replacing segments, cores, details, and parts from blueprints
- Experience performing welding duties in a foundry and die repair department
- Capability to train new employees effectively
Responsibilities
- Receive instructions from Team Leader/Supervisor
- Transport, clean, disassemble, repair, and reassemble casting and trim dies
- Troubleshoot production tooling problems and perform necessary repairs
- Complete forms, die work orders, and maintain accurate records
- Keep work areas neat and orderly
- Train new employees and assist with their onboarding
- Perform all other duties incidental to the safe operation of the tool and die repair department
Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
- Ability to perform highly skilled tasks and solve complex problems
- Tool & Die Repair Journeyman Papers is a plus, but not required
Education Requirements
- Associates Degree, trade or technical school, or journeyman certificate preferred
Education Requirements Credential Category
- Technical or Trade Certification
Experience Requirements
- Up to 2 years of training required; must complete 2 years of on-the-job training if minimum experience is not met
- Relevant experience specific to this position is preferred
