  • Minimum of 5 years of transportation and logistics experience
  • Significant work experience as a traffic manager, logistics manager, or in a similar supply chain role
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of trade compliance and tariff classification
  • Strong data-entry skills and attention to detail
  • Good math skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic plans to optimize freight and logistics across the supply chain
  • Manage 3PL service providers to enhance freight and logistical systems
  • Analyze freight costs and provide recommendations to support division strategy
  • Oversee evaluation, selection, and negotiations of logistics suppliers
  • Conduct carrier performance reviews
  • Collaborate with purchasing on freight and logistics matters
  • Ensure compliance with defined systems and procedures
  • Review and approve freight spending and invoices
  • Manage 3PL relationships and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Support shipments requiring customs documentation
  • Stay informed on global customs regulations affecting logistics

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant transportation and logistics experience
  • Significant experience in a traffic or logistics management role
  • Knowledge of trade compliance and tariff classification
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Education Requirements

  • Relevant degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field preferred, but experience may substitute for education.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in transportation and logistics
  • Proven experience in managing logistics and supply chain operations
  • Familiarity with LTL and Drop Ships, as well as tariff knowledge
