The Director of Vendor Contracts will be a key leader in the Strategic Sourcing organization, managing over $750m of annual contracts. We are seeking a dynamic commercial contract attorney who is a quick thinker and strong manager to oversee all aspects of initial contract redlining and review completed by the contracts team within the Corporate Procurement Services department. This role includes leading a team of paralegals and closely collaborating with our General Counsels office to enhance third-party vendor contracts across the enterprise, such as master agreements, proofs of concept, SOWs, NDAs, and other related documents, all while adhering to guidance provided by companes Legal. Proven experience in handling high volumes of contract review under tight timelines is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, redline, and negotiate procurement contracts in compliance with legal policies and guidelines
  • Own the contract management process, including lifecycle management, renewals, and terminations
  • Train and develop the contracts team for consistency in handling contracting matters
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify operational improvements and enhance cycle times
  • Work with legal, compliance, and risk teams to meet regulatory requirements
  • Support contract administration and ensure proper documentation of deviations
  • Partner with business and technology colleagues to include SLAs and performance metrics in contracts
  • Mitigate risks by adhering to established procedures and demonstrating ethical behavior

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
  • J.D. from an ABA accredited law school and admission to New York or New Jersey Bar
  • Proven experience in training non-lawyer contract negotiation teams
  • Experience managing high volumes of contracts across various templates/forms
  • Background working as an attorney in regulated industries
  • Track record of improving contracting processes and mitigating risks
