The Maintenance Technician on the 2nd Shift will perform a wide variety of mechanical and electrical maintenance work that is skilled and complex. You will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment and plant facilities to ensure the satisfactory operation of equipment and processes. This position involves moderate physical activity and requires a strong troubleshooting skill set.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay rate up to $37.00/HR depending on skill set and experience
  • Sign-on bonus available effective upon hire or conversion with the signing of a promissory note for 1 year

Skills

  • Ability to navigate and interpret ladder logic in SLC 500, PLC 5, and Control Logix software for troubleshooting equipment faults
  • Modification and diagnosis of problems on ABB robots (Models M94, M98, M2000, M2600, and M6700)
  • Proficient in both gas and electric welding operations
  • Strong ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and combustion malfunctions
  • Competence in determining effective repair procedures to prevent recurrence

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and address mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and combustion malfunctions
  • Implement effective repair procedures and maintain equipment to prevent issues
  • Navigate ladder logic software for troubleshooting
  • Modify and diagnose ABB robot issues
  • Install, move, and align equipment as needed
  • Operate various machine shop equipment with accuracy and efficiency
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment
  • Complete machine repair records and other associated duties as assigned by supervision

Qualifications

  • 4 years of related experience in Allen Bradley, Hydraulics, Robotics, and Welding
  • Proficient at troubleshooting die casting machine cells using PLCs and related schematics

Education Requirements

  • Technical or vocational education (certificates or some college courses) is required to apply principles effectively
