The Accountant will be responsible for conducting P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Tax, and Reconciliation analysis. This role involves compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and documenting business transactions. Additionally, the Accountant will review internal reports, checking coding and making adjustments prior to printing and assembling the final product for mailing.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Tax, and Reconciliation analysis

  • Prepare journal entries and county-wide quarterly interest allocations
  • Assist in the preparation of the county-wide annual comprehensive financial report
  • Review and prepare written procedures

Qualifications

  • Experience in independently performing a variety of accounting functions
  • Experience in journal entries and audit functions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience in using ACCESS database and EXCEL spreadsheets
  • Bachelors degree or higher in Accounting or Business Administration with a concentration in Accountancy

Education Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Accounting or Business Administration with a concentration in Accountancy

Experience Requirements

  • Previous experience in accounting roles that involved journal entries, audit functions, and financial report preparation
