Skills

  • Proficient in drawing, polishing, or grinding die cavity surfaces
  • Ability to build and replace segments, cores, details, and parts from blueprints
  • Experience with welding duties in both the foundry and Die Repair Department
  • Strong training skills for onboarding new employees

Responsibilities

  • Receive instructions and information from Team Leader and/or Supervisor
  • Transport, clean, disassemble, repair, and reassemble casting and trim dies
  • Draw polish or grind die cavity surfaces as needed
  • Troubleshoot production tooling problems and perform necessary repairs
  • Complete work orders, pictorials, signoffs, and records as directed
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area and department
  • Train new employees and assist with their development
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform highly skilled tasks and solve complex problems
  • Up to 2 years of training required; must complete on-the-job training if minimum experience is not met
  • Tool & Die Repair Journeyman Papers is a plus, but not required

Education Requirements

  • Associates degree, trade or technical school, or journey person certificate preferred

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Technical or vocational education in a relevant field

Experience Requirements

  • Up to 2 years of specific experience in tool and die repair
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
