  • 13 years of hands-on experience maintaining industrial ammonia refrigeration systems

Responsibilities

  • Maintain logs on operating results and issues
  • Analyze information to formulate a preventive maintenance plan
  • Troubleshoot and physically repair equipment
  • Use hand and specialty tools for maintenance tasks
  • Conduct routine inspections using sight, sound, and gauges
  • Read manuals and blueprints for proper operation and repairs
  • Order parts and supplies as needed for maintenance
  • Keep work areas clean in compliance with GMP requirements
  • Follow safety practices and use personal protective equipment
  • Ensure adherence to maintenance techniques and applicable codes
  • Maintain personal hygiene and housekeeping according to GMPs
  • Meet product safety and quality requirements
  • Identify system problems through data collection and inspection
  • Develop good working relationships and resolve conflicts respectfully
  • Cooperate with team goals and attend meetings
  • Adhere to plant rules, policies, and company ethics
  • Assist in training team members as necessary
  • Support other technicians using electrical, pipe fitting, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills

Qualifications

  • 13 years of relevant experience in maintaining an industrial ammonia refrigeration system
  • Familiarity with nitrogen flash freezers is a plus
  • Experience in electrical, pipe fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics is beneficial
  • High school diploma or equivalent with strong communication, reading, and math skills
  • Technical training in ammonia refrigeration and mechanical/electrical maintenance

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical training in refrigeration systems and electrical maintenance preferred
