About this role:

As a Cloud Architect within the Cloud Platform Excellence (CPE) team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the enterprise-wide cloud strategy and driving cloud governance, cost efficiency, and technology adoption across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), you will act as a strategic enabler and technical leader, ensuring that cloud platforms are optimized for scalability, security, and financial sustainability.
This is a high-impact individual contributor role that requires deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration. You will work closely with engineering, security, finance, and IT teams to standardize cloud adoption practices, enhance cost visibility, and streamline operations while continuously evaluating new cloud technologies to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

    1. Enterprise Cloud Strategy & Governance

    • Define and implement an enterprise-wide multi-cloud strategy, ensuring alignment with business and IT objectives.
    • Consolidate and standardize cloud adoption frameworks across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
    • Establish and enforce governance models, security controls, and compliance frameworks in collaboration with Security and IT teams.
    • Develop cloud adoption roadmaps and guide strategic decision-making on cloud investments.

    2. Cloud Cost Optimization & FinOps

    • Lead cloud cost management initiatives, establishing cost allocation models, optimization strategies, and usage visibility frameworks.
    • Drive FinOps best practices to improve cost efficiency, forecasting, and financial accountability.
    • Implement cloud cost-saving measures, including rightsizing, reserved instances, and workload optimization.
    • Work closely with finance teams to develop budgeting and chargeback models for cloud services.

    3. Cloud Security & Compliance

    • Ensure cloud security best practices are integrated into cloud governance policies. 
    • Enhance identity and access management (IAM) frameworks and implement automated security enforcement.
    • Work with security and IT teams to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

    4. Technology Evaluation & Adoption

    • Act as a technology advisor, identifying and assessing new cloud services and innovations for enterprise adoption.
    • Collaborate with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) to evaluate new services, cost models, and operational improvements.
    • Lead the strategic roadmap for cloud modernization, including cloud migrations, hybrid cloud strategies, and emerging technologies.
    • Work with business and engineering teams to ensure cloud solutions align with organizational goals.

    5. Collaboration & Organizational Enablement

    • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, finance, security, and IT teams to ensure a holistic cloud strategy.
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to teams leveraging cloud platforms. 
    • Promote cloud best practices and knowledge sharing through internal documentation, training, and workshops.
    Required Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and enterprise cloud strategy.
    • Deep expertise in AWS, Azure, and GCP, including architecture, security, and cost management.
    • Strong knowledge of multi-cloud governance, automation, and cost optimization techniques (FinOps).
    • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, etc.).
    • Expertise in cloud security frameworks, IAM, and compliance best practices. 
    • Strong analytical skills in cloud cost modeling, budgeting, and forecasting. 
    • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive cross-functional cloud initiatives. 
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills at an enterprise level.

    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
    • Google Professional Cloud Architect
    • FinOps Certified Practitioner
