Job Description:

Head of Product Athens, Greece

About the project

This is a true greenfield iGaming platform, being built from the ground up for European regulated markets — starting with Greece and expanding from there. No legacy to inherit, no technical debt, no product decisions

made years ago that everyone has to live with. The platform covers the full operator stack: player management, wallet, bonuses, payments, casino, sportsbook, compliance, marketing, and data.

The first market launch is targeted within roughly 14 months from project start — a timeline made possible by an explicit AI-first development methodology — with additional jurisdictions opening progressively after that.

For a product leader who wants to shape an entire platform from first principles — strategy, roadmap, team standards, regulatory posture — this is the kind of opportunity that comes around rarely.

About the role

The leadership team of the project is three people: the CTO, the Architect, and the Head of Product. You are the third. The CTO owns the technical organisation and the engineering side. The Architect ensures technical

coherence and modular boundaries across teams. You own the product strategy, the cross-team product roadmap, and the coherence of how the platform delivers value to operators and players — and you are the

platform's senior product voice in regulatory and C-level conversations.

This is explicitly a leadership role. You will manage and coach the Senior Product Owners (Core Platform, Compliance, and Games initially, with more added as the platform grows).

You will set the product standards and ways of working they all follow. You will drive the senior product conversations with C-level. And you will

be the platform's senior product representative in engagements with the Hellenic Gaming Commission, our legal counsel, and external advisors.

You will not own delivery for any single domain — that's the Product Owners' job. You own coherence, strategy, the team, and the regulatory posture. The Senior Product Owners report to you; you report into the CTO and engage directly with the C-level.

What you'll actually do

Own the product strategy. Define the platform's product positioning, vision, and the prioritisation framework that drives the roadmap. Bring strategic clarity to a project that has many strong domain owners.

Build and coach the product team. Hire, manage, and develop the Senior Product Owners. Set the standards they all work to. Run the product team's cadence — 1:1s, product reviews, cross-teamalignment.

Drive the senior product conversations. With C-level, the CTO, the Architect, the Compliance PO, and external partners. You translate product priorities into commercial terms and commercial priorities into product terms.

Be the platform's senior product voice with the HGC and regulatory counsel. This is more than awareness — you have credible standing in these conversations, debate specifics with regulatory counsel as a peer,

and make sure the platform's product roadmap stays aligned with what Greek law and the HGC framework require. As additional European jurisdictions

come online, you take on the equivalent role with each new regulator.

Coordinate cross-team product coherence. Ensure features designed in one domain (e.g. bonus mechanics in Core Platform) align with constraints in another (e.g. compliance rules per jurisdiction).

Validate the work. Final functional sign-off for cross-cutting features and any feature that has cross-team product implications. Day-to-day final-stamp validation stays with the Senior PO; you intervene when

scope spans multiple teams or when strategic alignment matters.

Use NotebookLM as your research backbone. Greek regulation, ISO27001, GDPR, AML, competitor analysis, payment provider documentation — the corpus that supports the platform's product decisions.

You are its primary curator and consumer.

Must have

10+ years in product, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles managing Product Owners or Product Managers. You have done this before — built teams, shipped products, owned strategic outcomes.

iGaming experience at a senior level. You have shipped real platforms or major modules into regulated iGaming markets. At this seniority, the regulatory texture and operational specifics are too deep to ramp up on quickly.

Formal familiarity with Greek iGaming regulation. Hellenic Gaming Commission framework, Greek Law 4002/2011 and subsequent amendments (notably 4582/2018 and 4635/2019), HGC Ministerial Decisions,

technical specifications, player protection and responsible gaming requirements, and the licensing and certification process. You should be able to discuss specifics with regulatory counsel and HGC representatives as a peer — not as someone briefed on the topic last week.

Track record of building and coaching product teams from the ground up. Hiring Senior POs, setting the cadence, building the product culture, growing people.

Strong C-level presence. Comfortable owning the product conversation in board meetings, in commercial negotiations, and with external partners and regulators.

Cross-functional fluency. You can hold a credible conversation with engineering on architecture, with compliance on regulation, with commercial on positioning, and with finance on operating models.

Excellent written and verbal English (the working language of the project).

Nice to have

Greek language. Highly valuable for HGC interactions, legal counsel conversations, and operational coordination on the ground.

Multi-jurisdiction European iGaming experience — UKGC, MGA, ARJEL, Spelinspektionen, or comparable. The platform's expansion roadmap will require this within the first two to three years.

Background or formal training in law, regulation, or compliance. Useful given the depth of regulatory

conversations this role involves. ISO27001 awareness. The platform treats compliance as a design input rather than a review step, and you are a major voice in that conversation.

Experience with AI-augmented product workflows — NotebookLM, Linear with MCP integration, or comparable. The project's methodology assumes AI fluency at the leadership level.

What we offer

* A foundational leadership role on a true greenfield platform — define the product strategy, build the team, and shape the product organisation from day one.

* A unique opportunity to build not only a product, but the operating model behind it — helping define how AI-first product teams work in practice.
