About Your Company

King Deux is looking for a director of operations & finance / Chief Operations Officer to join a global Hedge Fund house. You will oversee fund operations, administration, compliance functions in Greater China and report directly into Founder.

About your role

• Manage the overall firm’s operation, finance and compliance function by leading a team in Greater China and directly report to the senior partners of the firm

• Liaise and work closely with external parties (custodian, fund administrator, accountant, lawyers) to ensure effective and efficient daily middle/back-office operations (fund accounting, trade support, data management and reporting etc.)

• Participate into the due diligence process on the underlying managers and examine the operational efficiency, compliance and structure of the selected managers.

• Implement and regularly update the internal control policies and procedures and conduct regular review to fulfill both internal and regulatory requirement

• Provide operational support on new products implementation.

• Prepare and manage company accounts and financial statements and regulatory filing

Fund Operations — Trade Cycle

• Own the full trade cycle: allocation, confirmation, reconciliation, and settlement

• Reconcile positions and cash daily with the prime broker(s) and executing brokers

• Maintain positions in the portfolio management system (Enfusion and Eze Eclipse) and process corporate action

• Execute trades and manage trade feeds via Bloomberg

• Run two daily operating windows around market close (US and Asian markets)

Compliance & Risk

• Oversee compliance and risk management in partnership with the owner

• Prepare and submit regulatory returns, including the Financial Resources Rules (FRR) return

• Produce risk reports and management accounts

What you will need to succeed

• Fluent English and Mandarin

• 7+ years operation experience in leading asset management company, with exposure to global public market asset class, preferably L/S equity hedge funds

• Solid experience or knowledge on the Operation/ Finance / Compliance work steams for asset management company

• Entrepreneurship thinking with global aspiration

• Passionate, proactive, quick learning and be able to work under pressure
