Brand / Trade Marketing Manager (B2B / B2B2C, BTL, Events) | FMCG (Tobacco / Spirit welcome)

A leading global manufacturer with a rich heritage in tobacco, renowned for premium cigarillos, is seeking a Marketing Manager. This role focuses on maximizing brand potential through innovative B2B / B2B2C marketing strategies, adhering to legal guidelines. The candidate will develop effective trade marketing concepts that translate brand values into actionable strategies for both offline and online channels, ensuring strong brand loyalty and consumer engagement.



Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the strategic planning process for the APAC Global Travel Retail (GTR) region and develop comprehensive annual marketing strategies for domestic markets and GTR key accounts, ensuring compliance with tobacco regulations and alignment with company goals.

  • Act as a marketing consultant for stakeholders, identifying market opportunities, crafting strategies to achieve overall business objectives, and collaborating with the HQ Marketing team to drive growth and brand presence.

  • Focus on brand education initiatives for retailers and consumers to enhance product understanding and loyalty, while conducting relevant research studies to gather insights on consumer and trade trends.

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of marketing initiatives to ensure effectiveness and alignment with strategic goals.

  • Organize key consumer tasting events for premium long-filler cigars in collaboration with Country Managers across the Asia Pacific and GTR.

  • Oversee daily marketing operations targeting consumers, retailers, operators, and distributors, while increasing brand trial and awareness through effective visibility at points of sale, promotions, and activations in off-trade channels.

  • Conduct regular visits to retail points of sale with sales representatives to gather insights and ensure alignment with agreed strategies and action plans.

  • Manage the marketing budget and KPIs to track success and optimize strategies.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and Sales, or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years in marketing or trade marketing, focusing on brand and product management within the FMCG sector, particularly in food, beverage (wine & spirits), or tobacco industries. Candidates from agencies are also welcome. 

  • Hands-on experience in trade marketing (B2B / B2B2C), product management, and brand management. Digital marketing experience is a significant advantage.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple brands effectively and drive their growth.

  • Strong communication abilities (spoken and written English & Cantonese) with experience in managing internal and external stakeholders.
