(Assistant) Manager, Partnerships / Sponsorships (pop culture, entertainment, Kpop, Jpop)
The Company, a renowned retail corporation based in Hong Kong with a significant presence in both Hong Kong and China, is currently seeking an exceptional (Assistant) Manager for their Partnership & Business Development team. Specializing in the development and management of large-scale shopping malls and tourist complexes, the Company is looking for a candidate with a passion for pop culture and experience in music and entertainment partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with media companies, advertising agencies, and entertainment brands to explore collaborative opportunities in pop culture, including Jpop and Kpop.
- Proactively identify and pitch new advertising and sponsorship prospects within the music and entertainment sectors; negotiate contracts and manage the end-to-end sales process.
- Collaborate closely with marketing and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of advertising and sponsorship activations featuring entertainment elements.
- Analyze advertising and sponsorship performance data to optimize media offerings and maximize revenue generation in the entertainment context.
- Identify, pitch, negotiate, and secure partnership agreements for temporary or seasonal activations, pop-up shops, and promotional events related to music and entertainment.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitive activities, and new partnership models in pop culture to identify innovative opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, advertising, media, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in partnership/business development, event marketing, media/advertising sales, or a related field, with a focus on music and entertainment.
- Proven track record of identifying, securing, and managing successful partnerships and media/advertising sales in the entertainment industry.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, particularly within the Jpop/Kpop and broader music sectors.
- Excellent communication skills in Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) and English, with strong presentation and project management abilities.
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop unique, engaging partnership concepts and media/advertising solutions relevant to the entertainment field.
- Familiarity with the media, advertising, retail, hospitality, and/or entertainment industries, with a focus on pop culture.
