(Secondary) Research Officer | E-commerce, Fashion, Retail (Policy & Macro)

The Group is a prominent player in the e-commerce sector, specializing in online sales within the fashion and retail industries. With a commitment to leveraging big data for insightful analysis, the company operates primarily online, catering to a diverse clientele. With a strong presence in Hong Kong and China, the company is committed to leveraging big data and policy research to drive its growth and innovation.

The Group is seeking a Research Officer to support its General Manager in conducting comprehensive data analysis and policy research. This role emphasizes secondary research, analyzing trends, and generating reports to inform business strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth secondary research utilizing big data to gather insights relevant to e-commerce and retail policy.
  • Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports that summarize findings and provide actionable recommendations for the business.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the General Manager to align research efforts with organizational goals and strategies.
  • Market Insights: Analyze market trends in the fashion retail sector to support informed decision-making.
  • Travel: Frequent travel to Guangdong may be required to collaborate with the local teams.

Qualifications

  • A background in statistics, economics, or government policy is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in research, particularly focused on secondary data analysis.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce and retail policies in China is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate meaningful insights.
  • Fluency in both Chinese and English is required.
