Head of HR (Greater China) | FinTech, Crypto, TMT, Internet (native Mandarin speaker / visa holder welcome)

Powered by proprietary technology, its diverse portfolio of regulated financial institutions and fintechs specialize in multi-asset liquidity solutions, serving major global markets. The startup is looking for an experienced HR leader to cover Greater China / APAC and to help the company scale.
Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Global Head of HR and lead a team of 4-5 HR professionals within the Greater China region
- Collaborate closely with the Global Head of HR to craft and execute HR strategies that support the company's rapid growth and evolving business goals
- Develop and implement tailored HR policies, procedures, and initiatives for the companys offices in Greater China and 1-2 key Southeast Asian markets
- Oversee the full talent lifecycle, from attracting and hiring top talent to designing effective performance management and employee development programs
- Manage employee relations, address grievances, and foster a positive, engaging work culture to retain our best people
- Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations across the region
- Streamline HR operations, including payroll, benefits, and record-keeping
- Serve as a strategic partner to the leadership team, providing data-driven HR insights and recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field
- 10-12+ years of HR experience, with a proven track record of building and scaling the HR function in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Hands-on experience developing HR strategies and programs from the ground up in a startup setting
- Excellent understanding of labor laws and regulations across Greater China and/or APAC
- Prior experience recruiting and relocating candidates from China to Hong Kong
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and people leadership skills
- Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin / Putonghua)
