Head of Marketing & Promotions (China, shopping mall, property developer) | Hong Kong-based

The company is a significant corporation headquartered in Hong Kong, actively involved in numerous retail projects and initiatives in both Hong Kong and China. They are currently in search of a highly skilled individual to serve as Team Head, responsible for leading the Marketing and Promotions Team and managing the marketing efforts for their prestigious shopping mall situated in China. As a Team Head, you will report directly to the Department Head and oversee a sizable team of 80 professionals (China + Hong Kong) in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Strong ability to develop branding strategies that are aligned with the corporate brand
  • Proficiency in developing comprehensive and integrated marketing and communications strategies and action plans
  • Exceptional planning skills to organize year-round events, festive celebrations, and promotional activities
  • Expertise in planning and executing social media strategies across various platforms, such as WeChat, Xiaohongshu, TikTok / Douyin and more
  • Demonstrated leadership and management abilities in implementing public relations strategies, including media relations, securing media coverage, community relations, and engaging with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
  • Explore marketing opportunities and collaborate with business partners to coordinate joint promotions.
  • Take charge of developing thematic and tactical promotions to capture market attention, increase footfall, and effectively manage budgets.
  • Required to travel to China for business purposes every 1-2 months.

Qualifications

  • Possess a minimum of 10 years of marketing experience within prominent corporations.
  • Essential knowledge and prior exposure to the property and retail industry.
  • Previous experience in overseeing marketing initiatives aimed at Chinese tourists and executing promotional campaigns for shopping malls in China.
  • Candidates with a background in event agencies or production houses are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent skills in team management and interpersonal communication.
  • Proficiency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin languages.
