Head of Destination Marketing & Venue Operations (P&L owner, partnership, tourism) HK$70-85K/month

Are you an experienced and visionary leader in the tourism and hospitality industry? Do you have a proven track record of driving the success of premier destinations? If so, we have an exceptional opportunity for you to join our team as the Venue Head for a prime tourist attraction in the heart of Hong Kong.

Supported by the local government and neighbouring stakeholders, this iconic destination has already achieved remarkable success, hosting numerous large-scale events and campaigns that have captivated both local and international audiences. Now, the venue is seeking a dynamic individual to take the helm and lead the venue to even greater heights.

As the Venue Head, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire profit and loss management of this premier tourist attraction. Leveraging your exceptional stakeholder management skills, you will drive strategic collaborations with governmental bodies, corporations, and brand partners to deliver eye-catching events and campaigns that further elevate the venue's profile.

Additionally, you will play a crucial role in promoting the destination as an integral part of Hong Kong's vibrant tourism landscape. Your ability to identify and capitalize on emerging trends, as well as your passion for innovation, will be instrumental in continuously enhancing the venue's appeal and ensuring its ongoing success.


Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 6-8, including marketing and partnership, event management, customer services and operations, etc.

  • Cultivate strategic partnerships and sponsorships to support planned promotional programs, events, and happenings at the venue

  • Develop a comprehensive business plan and operating model, and manage the profit and loss to ensure it meets annual financial objectives

  • Provide strategic guidance to continuously enhance the venue experience and address the dynamic needs of this premier Hong Kong attraction

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure high-quality service delivery by the operations team and contracted service providers

  • Lead the marketing and promotional strategy, including events, social media, and website management, to drive vibrancy at the venue

  • Manage the leasing, coordination, and liaison with food kiosks, mobile carts, and other business operators at the venue

  • Plan and implement the overall retail direction and logistics of the souvenir carts, including sourcing, pricing, and creating branded merchandise

  • Resolve daily management issues, operational challenges, handle complaints, and serve as the primary point of contact in emergencies

  • Regularly liaise and meet with internal and external stakeholders, including various government bodies


Qualifications

  • Degree or above in marketing, business management, or a related discipline

  • Over 10 years of experience, with at least 4 years in a managerial role, in business development, brand partnership, tourism, event management, venue management, or related industries

  • Self-motivated, creative thinker, and detail-oriented, with a drive to deliver high-quality work

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong problem-solving abilities, exceptional time management skills, and the capacity to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

  • Strategic mindset, analytical, innovative, dynamic, and collaborative team player

  • Fluency in Chinese (Cantonese + Mandarin) and English
